Technical Sales Engineer (TSE)

The TSE is the key technical point-of-contact for all deals at CENTRI. The TSE researches new technologies, tools and methodologies as they emerge that may be applicable to our product or market space. The TSE provides presales support contributing towards the successful conversion of prospects to customers and engages customers to nurture ongoing relationships.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work with the sales team to develop and execute key account development plans
  • Lead technical responses to RFXs by writing clear responses to address the requirements
  • Identifies current and future client requirements by establishing strong client relationships
  • Possess demonstrable skills in client-product selling and a proven track record using it to help drive revenue
  • Develops client staff by providing technical information, workshops and training
  • Be the customer advocate and liaison for Product Management and Engineering
  • Supports cost/pricing effort to build proposals
Desired Education, Experience & Qualities:
  • Must have Engineering or other Technical Bachelor Degree
  • Minimum 8-10 years in a professional position within the telecommunications industry – understands the architecture and technical aspects of Mobile, Fixed, Broadband & WiFi networks
  • Business process interpretation – understands client business needs and how to design business processes and methodologies and then map those to CENTRI’s solutions
  • Domain knowledge of network data optimization, data management policies, network data encryption, application management policies and network data analytics
  • A proven track record demonstrating good business judgment, an ability to make decisions, and a passion for excellence
  • Knowledge of supporting complex sales cycles by preparing and delivering value based solutions
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Have a thorough understanding of the balance between deadlines and accuracy of work
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task, possess the willingness to learn and train, to be dependable and consistent with efforts
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 60% of the time
  • Requires broad experience in the telephony, IP, VoIP, and/or networking industries
  • Selling to large, medium and small enterprise customers as well as large enterprise systems integrators, VARS and distributors
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the following areas is required: LAN/WAN data networking architectures and routing protocols, IP Telephony Architectures and VoIP protocols, security and QoS
  • Knowledge of mobile and connected device platforms and architecture, especially for Android, iOS, Windows
